Cast, Staff, and More Details Revealed for Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Hiro Mashima and Atsuo Ueda’s Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest sequel manga unveiled a new teaser trailer on Tuesday. The teaser provides insights into the anime’s cast, staff members, and its scheduled premiere in July.

Returning to reprise their roles are esteemed voice actors including Tetsuya Kakihara as Natsu Dragneel, Aya Hirano as Lucy Heartfilia, Rie Kugimiya as Happy, Yūichi Nakamura as Gray Fullbuster, Sayaka Ōhara as Erza Scarlet, Satomi Satou as Wendy, and Yui Horie as Charle.

The directorial team includes Shinji Ishihara, the director of the original Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest anime series, who serves as the chief director for this new project. Toshinori Watanabe, known for works such as ” and Tokyo Ghoul:re, takes on the directorial role at J.C. Staff. Atsuhiro Tomioka, a veteran scriptwriter from the previous Fairy Tail anime, oversees the anime’s scripts. Yurika Sako, known for her work on Edens Zero, is responsible for character design. Shōji Hata returns as sound director, and Yasuharu Takanashi is back to compose the music.

Atsuo Ueda began the official sequel to Mashima’s original Fairy Tail manga on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket manga app in July 2018. Mashima provides the original storyboards for the manga, while Ueda handles the artwork. Kodansha released the 16th compiled volume of the sequel in December 2023, with the 17th volume slated for release on April 9, 2024.

The success of Mashima’s original Fairy Tail manga has led to multiple adaptations, including three television anime series, two anime films, several original video anime projects, and spinoff manga series. Kodansha USA Publishing manages the distribution of the original manga and its spinoffs in North America.
