Granblue Fantasy Marks 10th Anniversary with a Special Music Video

In celebration of the Granblue Fantasy franchise’s decade milestone, Cygames released an engaging music video. Originally a browser-based gacha game, Granblue Fantasy has expanded into various genres, including fighting games, mobile RPGs, anime, and even a full-fledged action RPG on consoles, garnering immense popularity along the way.

Titled “Granblue Fantasy 10th Anniversary Movie,” the music video premiered on March 10, 2024, coinciding with the ten-year anniversary of the franchise’s first mobile game release. Described as a two-minute visual journey showcasing pivotal moments from the game’s history, the video features a song performed by Tomoki Ono, Hisako Kanemoto, Nao Higashiyama, and Rie Kugimiya.

Prior to this celebratory release, the Granblue franchise achieved significant milestones. Granblue Fantasy Relink surpassed one million units in sales across all platforms within just 11 days, receiving acclaim from both critics and players alike. Additionally, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, the franchise’s fighting game, continues to expand its roster with new fighters, including Nier Automata’s iconic character, 2B.

Granblue Fantasy: The Animation chronicles the adventures of Gran, a young skyfarer, and his encounter with Lyria, a girl with amnesia possessing a unique connection to the primal beasts of the land, alongside her guardian, Lady Katalina. Together, they embark on a journey to evade the clutches of an oppressive empire, forming bonds and confronting challenges along the way.

For those unfamiliar with the franchise, the anime adaptation offers a captivating introduction to its world and characters, currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll. However, it’s worth noting that the pacing of the anime may feel sluggish at times, with limited action sequences interspersed throughout.

Granblue Fantasy Relink is now accessible on PS4, PS5, and PC via Steam, offering fans an immersive gaming experience within the beloved fantasy realm.
