It’s uncertain if this will actually be the case, though, as this hasn’t yet been formally declared.
The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen will air over two consecutive seasons, covering both the summer and autumn of 2023. A flashback-style narrative centered on Gojo and Geto’s time as Tokyo Jujutsu High students will make up the first portion of the season.
The beloved Shibuya Incident arc will then resume in the second section, picking up where the first season left off. The franchise’s initial 24-episode season and feature were both animated by Studio MAPPA. The original manga, which is translated into English by VIZ Media, was written and illustrated by Akutami Gege.
Both the anime and the movie are streamed on Crunchyroll, and they give the plot’s details:
“Yuji Itadori is a boy with tremendous physical strength, though he lives a completely ordinary high school life. One day, to save a classmate who has been attacked by curses, he eats the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, taking the curse into his own soul. From then on, he shares one body with Ryomen Sukuna.
Guided by the most powerful of sorcerers, Satoru Gojo, Itadori is admitted to Tokyo Jujutsu High School, an organization that fights the curses… and thus begins the heroic tale of a boy who became a curse to exorcise a curse, a life from which he could never turn back.“
