The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War Game
UserJoy announced the development of the smartphone RPG game based on the anime The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War. The announcement was made by the owner of The Legend of Heroes franchise, Nihon Falcom, on December 23, 2022.
This is the second mobile game of the same franchise after The Legend of Heroes: Akatsuki no Kiseki which is still live in Japan since its initial release. The game is planned to launch the game on the second quarter of 2023. But, the fans can expect early access to the beta phase in early 2023.
The game features a story-based game including its anime-based story as well as the new additional original story with possibly unique characters. The unique system of The Legend of Heroes game, ARCUS II, is also being implemented in the mobile version.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War Story
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War follows the story of Lavi, a girl born in the poorest region of North Ambria. She is the granddaughter of Vlad, who was the distinguished hero of North Ambria until he betrayed his country.
In order to reclaim her honor, she decides to join the most prominent mercenary group, Northern Jaegers. She must partake in the dangerous mission to infiltrate the enemy country, Erebonian Empire, to take information about their Heroes.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War News
The Legend of Heroes franchise is a series of RPG games developed by Nihon Falcom. It started back in the late 1980s with their first Dragon Slayer game.
The series then evolved into its own decades of the world, it spans fourteen games that interconnect each other. The Trail series is a subseries that was released in 2004 till present.
The popularity of the game makes the anime adaptation possible. Through all the series, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War was chosen to be adapted into an anime. The anime is planned to be aired in January 2023.
Can this game be as successful as the console version? Unfortunately, the English version of the game isn’t yet being announced. But, based on the first mobile game, The Legend of Heroes: Akatsuki no Kiseki, it is possible to maintain the flow of the game even after six years after its initial release.
