The anime’s first season premiered on Crunchyroll in April 2020, simultaneously launching in Japan. Consisting of 13 episodes, it was part of the Crunchyroll Originals lineup, a collaborative effort between Crunchyroll and WEBTOON.

The direction of the first season was helmed by Takashi Sano, known for his work on series like Sengoku Basara: End of Judgement and Transformers: Energon, under the production of Telecom Animation Film. Assisting him was Hirokazu Hanai, while Erika Yoshida oversaw the series composition. Character designs were handled by Masashi Kudo and Miho Tanino, with Kevin Penkin composing the music.

The Tower of God manhwa, created by SIU, made its debut on NAVER WEBTOON in 2010 before being introduced to English readers on WEBTOON in July 2014.

Crunchyroll describes the story:

Reach the top, and everything will be yours. At the top of the tower exists everything in this world, and all of it can be yours. You can become a god. This is the story of the beginning and the end of Rachel, the girl who climbed the tower so she could see the stars, and Bam, the boy who needed nothing but her.

As of this time, there is still no official date mentioned during the event. However, since Crunchyroll will still be streaming the series, then there’s a possibility that we would have an exact streaming release date very soon.
