The official Twitter account for the Tsurune anime published a new visual for the show even though the second season, officially named Tsurune: The Connecting Shot started on January 5, 2023.
The second season of Tsurune begins airing on Tokyo MX on January 4 at midnight (effectively, January 6 at midnight or January 4 at 10:00 a.m. EST); ABC TV airs it on January 5 at 2:14 a.m. (January 4 at 12:14 p.m. EST).

Tsurune Season 2 New Visual
The official Kyoto Animation Twitter account published a brand-new visual for the series that shows Eisuke Nikaido in darkness with the words “I’m quitting archery” over him and the main character Minato Narumiya.
Tsurune Anime Storyline
The first season of Tsurune, which ran from October 22, 2018, to January 21, 2019, through which the story described as:
Minato Narumiya enrolls as a freshman at Kazemai High School at the start of the story. Mr. Tommy, the Japanese archery Club’s advisor, is eager to enlist Minato as well as his boyhood pals Ryohei Yamanouchi and Seiya Takehaya.
At the orientation for the Club, where he also meets Kaito Onogi and Nanao Kisaragi, Ryohei persuades Minato to attend. Mr. Tommy singles out Minato, introducing him as a rare Japanese archer, and makes a demonstration request in front of the group.
Nevertheless, Minato’s arrow misses its target since he suffers from a severe illness. Kaito, Nanao, Ryohei, Minato, and Seiya. They get together through Japanese archery. What will they succeed in achieving as they battle through their lovely yet “bitter” youth?
Tsurune Cast and Staff
Tsurune Season 2 is a highly anticipated anime that boasts a talented cast. Aoi Ichikawa lends his voice to Seiya Takehaya, while Shintarou Asanuma plays the role of Masaki Takigawa. Yuuto Uemura portrays Minato Narumiya, and Shougo Yano brings Nanao Kisaragi to life.
Kaito Ishikawa takes on the role of Kaito Onogi, and Ryouta Suzuki voices Yamanouchi Ryouhei. With such a talented voice cast, Tsurune Season 2 promises to be an unforgettable anime experience.
A series of Japanese light novels by Kotoko Ayano and Chinatsu Morimoto served as the inspiration for Tsurune. The anime adaptation, which Takuya Yamamura directed and Kyoto Animation produced (A Quiet Voice, Violet Evergarden), debuted in October 2018.
Michiko Yokote (Naruto, Bleach, Cowboy Bebop) is in charge of writing the story, while Miku Kadowaki (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, Beyond the Boundary) is in charge of creating the character designs.
