Ys X: Nordics Western Release Date
NIS America uploaded a new trailer previously announcing that the Ys X: Nordics game will get a Western released in Fall 2024 for the following platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC via Steam, PC via Epic Games Store, Nintendo, and GOG.
The game is the latest entry in Nihon Falcom’s Ys RPG game series. The game was release in Japan for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on September 28.

“It takes place in an archipelago in Obelia Bay inhabited by the seafaring Normans. Protagonist Adol Christin becomes involved in their affairs, as he also encounters a new enemy called “Griegers,” the undying undead that are terrorizing humans.
The game now allows for “Solo Mode” combat where players control one character with automatic support from another character, as well as “Combination Mode,” which allows players to control two characters simultaneously. The game also features a navigable ship that players can use to explore the seas and archipelago, as well as engage in ship-to-ship combat.”

The Ys series is a long-running action role-playing game (RPG) franchise developed and published by Nihon Falcom Corporation, a Japanese video game company. The series debuted in 1987 with the release of Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished for the NEC PC-8801 home computer system.
Their previous game in the series Ys IX: Monstrum Nox was released for the PlayStation 4 in Japan in September 2019. NIS America also released the game in North America and Europe in February 2021. It was then launched for PC via Steam and the Nintendo Switch in July 2021. The PlayStation 5 release of the game was made available for North America and Europe in May 2023.
The game typically follows the adventures of Adol Christin, a red-haired swordsman and adventurer, as he travels through various fantastical lands, battling monsters, uncovering ancient mysteries, and ultimately saving the world from impending doom. The gameplay of the Ys series is characterized by fast-paced action combat, with players controlling Adol as he slashes through enemies in real-time battles.
