Apparently, disillusioned adventurers will save the world is a fantasy adventure series scheduled to premiere on January 10th, the release date was confirmed by studio GEEK TOYS along with the updated list of key cast and staff members.

For those who can not wait until the official release date, the series will premier an exclusive one-week advanced delivery on the Abema streaming service on January 3rd.

The official announcement came from the Twitter account of Apparently, disillusioned adventurers will save the world along with the official key visual and a special PV trailer.

The official key visual featured the five main characters standing in a town with their adventuring gear ready, the visual missed one of the six main characters.

Apparently, disillusioned adventurers will save the world is listed as a fantasy adventure series, it’s a must-watch for anyone looking for a series with light action and some comedy.

The official website for the series updated the list of cast members including Sayaka Kikuchi as Curran, Yuusuke Kobayashi as Nick, Sayumi Watanabe as Tiana, Shunichi Toki as Zem, Kaori Ishihara as Agate, Mikako Komatsu as Kizuna.

The list of staff members was also updated that revealed Itsuki Imazaki as the series director, Ryousuke Naya as the sound director, Mao Abe and Shinichi Toki for the theme song performance, Naoto Kondou for color design, Seo Jungho as the art director and Rou Takashi responsible for the music.

The trailer for the series was definitely something to get excited about, the animation was looking fantastic and the character designs were amazing, and the overall world environment was impeccable.

Although it’s a basic adventuring-themed series where adventurers hunt monsters and make money, it’s still an exciting premise if it’s well done.

Not to mention the series had very similar vibes to Konosuba and considering the story of adventuring misfits banding together to form a party feels very familiar.

The trailer featured all the main characters and how they decide to band together to form a party to go on adventures in the dungeons.

The plot of Apparently, Disillusioned Adventurers Will Save the World

The series plot is definitely an interesting one, our protagonists band together after getting betrayed by their former party members.

The story follows Nick, he’s an adventurer partying with his mentor and a bunch of members. After completing a mission, Nick notices some money has gone missing and finds the culprit who stole the money.

However, his mentor forgives the culprit who stole the money and instead kicks Nick out of the party.

He spends the following night in a tavern, where he meets three other adventurers who have also been betrayed by their party members, Nick comes up with a plan to form a party and make some money together.

List of characters

Nick is an experienced adventurer, he’s quick on his feet and uses a dagger to target his enemies’ weak spots.

Tiana is a former aristocratic magician, she can manipulate light, wind, and ice. She was kicked out of her school and abandoned by her family.

Curran is a warrior of the Dragon race, she uses a fiery broadsword and doesn’t share any details about her fast.

Zem is the healer of the party, his abilities allow him to heal and provide an increased defense.

Apparently, disillusioned adventurers will save the world is an adventure Japanese light novel series written by Shinta Fuji and illustrated by Susumu Kuroi, the series began serialization on January 2019 in the Shosetsuka ni Naro website.

It was later picked up by Media Factory who published three volumes in their MF book imprint.

The series also has a manga adaptation with artwork by Kawakami Masaki, currently being serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s ComicWalker website.

The official light novel series has three volumes in total and the manga adaptation has 5 volumes as of April 2022.
