Anime fans finally spoken as the winner for the r/anime Reddit community’s annual anime awards voted for BanG Dream! It’s MyGo!!!!! as anime of the year. The award also went to Vinland Saga.
The r/anime Anime Awards project started in 2016 with a livestream version of the event two years later. As of today, the subreddit currently has 8.7 million subscribers. Both this events and Crunchyroll’s Anime Awards were streaming in the same day on Saturday.
The two mentioned anime series also won awards for the Best Drama award. The winners were chosen by the public as well as a panel of jury members who were requested to view all of the nominees before casting their vote per category.
While the two mentioned series won the major awards, Jujutsu Kaisen still won as community’s favorite winning four different categories in the awards.
