Fantasy Life i Switch Game to Launch on October 10


Nintendo just revealed 20+ video games released on their console, Nintendo Switch. Among them, the third sequel of Fantasy Life, Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, appeared revealing their release date and gameplay.

Fantasy Life: The Girl Who Steals Time

The developer of Fantasy Life, Level 5, announced their new game at the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase event on February 21, 2024. Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time initially debuted in 2023 but got delayed several times till the end of summer 2024.

Level 5 released the original Fantasy Life for Nintendo 3DS in Japan in 2012. Later, Nintendo published it worldwide in 2014. Akihiro Hono was responsible for producing and writing the game, while Takuzo Nagano served as the artist. Nobuo Uematsu was composing the music.

Later, the developer revealed the sequel for the game, Fantasy Life 2: Two Moons and the Village of God, set for iOS and Android in 2015. However, Level 5 settled the name into Fantasy Life Online instead. The sequel met a rough patch and suffered a three-year delay from the initial release. In the end, the game was successfully debuted in July 2018 in Japan.

Boltrend Games licensed the game for the West and released it in December 2021. Unfortunately, both Japan and West already shut down their servers in December 2021 and February 2023 respectively.

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time takes place on the Mysteria island in the sea of Reverie. This island was a once thriving island but got deserted. The player’s goal is to restore the deserted island by gathering materials and building facilities.

The player also can create avatars with customization features to their liking. Furthermore, they can decide their in-game professions such as Paladin, Hunter, Magician, or Mercenary. Not only battle-oriented jobs, the game also offers regular jobs such as Miner, Woodcutter, Angler, and so on. Don’t worry, you can also swap jobs at will.

Though the concept of the game is freedom to develop the land, it doesn’t mean there is no captivating story at play. Later in the game, the player will face a mystery of the island.
