The upcoming season will have all the previous cast members. They will include Kusunoki Tomori as Misha Necron, Yuuko Natsuyoshi as Sasha Necron, and Takuma Terashima as Lay Glanzudlii. The only exception is that Yuuichirou Umehara replacing Tatsuhisa Suzuki as the voice of Anos Voldigoad.
The series staff includes Oonuma Shin as the director, Ryousuke Naya as the sound director, Keiji Inai in charge of music, and Jin Tanaka responsible for the composition.

Misfit of Demon King Academy is based on a Japanese light novel series. Shu has written and Shizuma Yoshinori has illustrated it.
There are currently 12 chapters of the light novel in circulation, the anime series covered three chapters. The upcoming season will continue from chapter 4. The second season will cover the Great Spirit Arc, which begins around chapters 107-110.
The franchise also has a manga series. Kayaharuka is currently working on them . It was serialized on Square Enix’s Manga Up! Website.
