Barraged by critics right and left, this one romance anime still stays strong. Now Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 3 is confirmed for the summer anime rooster once again.
They announced the upcoming anime a couple of days after the finale of the second season. The news was revealed with a chibi-animated video that’s usually premiered on Twitter. It also mentioned the upcoming event related to the anime series in March.
The event was held on March 5, 2023. It is a stage event where all the cast grouped together and talked about the second season of Rent-a-Girlfriend. But as predicted, they unveiled the news about the third season.

Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 3 Trailer and New Visual Teaser
The promotional video was released on March 5, 2023. The anime is entering the movie-making arc which is so popular among the fans. The character development of Kazuya will be skyrocketing in the next season. We won’t go deeper so as to spoil the storyline, so just wait for it.
The official trailer for the upcoming season also reveals the debut of Yaemori Mini, a cosplayer who goes to the same university as Kazuya and Chizuru. Though it isn’t surprising for manga readers, anime-only fans will find it surprising. The reason is that the past news released on February 16 only revealed 4 main girls who will appear in the third season.
The key visual above was the newest poster from the latest event. Instead of 4 girls, we have 5 girls now. They use the same picture from the previous teaser visual. The only difference in character visual is Mami who moves to the right a bit and Mini stands beside her.
Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 3 Cast and Staff
The official website released the list of voice cast and staff for the anime adaptation. Most of the staff will reprise their role albeit not all of them. Kazuomi Koga won’t be the series director for the third season. Here are the lists of the staff:

Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 3 Story
Dumped by his girlfriend, emotionally shattered college student Kazuya Kinoshita attempts to pay a rental girlfriend to fill the void in his heart. At first, he is impressed with Chizuru’s good looks and personality.
But upon seeing the review on her profile, he realizes that all of them are only a façade. He believes that she likes to play with other men’s hearts so he gives a negative rating. Angry at her client, Chizuru blows his cover and acts sassy and temperamental, the complete opposite of Kazuya’s first impression.
At that very moment, he receives news that his grandmother has collapsed and is sent to the hospital. Having no chance, he brings Chizuru to the hospital. Although the illness isn’t that serious, his grandmother is delighted that Kazuya brings a serious girlfriend this time.
Unable to tell the truth, they lied to them. Now, Kazuya and Chizuru will continue this fake relationship.
