The journey of Tomozaki to being a popular guy is still far ahead. After getting a distant change from the first episode to the last episode in the first season, Tomozaki continues to evolve! Now, we can see Tomozaki in the second season.
Yaku Yuuki’s Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki first announced their second season on the official Twitter account in January 2022. They uploaded a video featuring footage from the first season and the character song “Colorful End Epilogue” from the first season.
A year later, the official Twitter once again uploaded another footage video with new information on February 2023. It mentioned that the second season will have 13 episodes. The PV also revealed the title for the second season, “Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki 2nd Stage”.
Unfortunately, they didn’t reveal the schedule for the broadcast yet. But, there was hope. The video stated that there would be an event, Jaku Chara Tomozaki-kun Fes!, that was held on April 16, 2023, at the Saitama Hall.
Once again, the event still has yet to announce the broadcast schedule for the second season. But we have new information from the event. Let’s check it out!

It is confirmed that all of the cast and staff are returning for the second season. The list of returning cast includes:

Shinsuke Yanagi (The Ryuo’s Work Is Never Done, And You Thought There is Never a Girl Online?) is directing the anime at project No.9. Fumiko Shimo (BOFURI, How Heavy Are The Dumbbells You Lift?) is writing the script while Akane Yano (High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even in Another World!) is drawing the character design.
Hiromi Mizutani (My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex, Non Non Biyori) is composing the music under the supervision of Satoshi Motoyama (The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses) as the audio director.
Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki 2nd Stage PV and Visual Teaser
The Jaku Chara Tomozaki-kun Fes! released a new PV featuring the footage from the first season in the first 30 seconds. Then, the act begins with Hanabi wanting Tomozaki to teach her the ways of the normie.
This means that the anime will cover the fifth volume of the anime. For the record, the first season covered three volumes of the light novel. The second may also follow the track of the first season covering volumes 4-6 respectively.
Not only PV, but the event also revealed the new visual teaser for the second season. We can see Hanabi (front), Hinami, and Tomozaki along with the tagline “I’m going to change, but I won’t bend”.
With how Hanabi’s personality is, maybe she is shocked at how Tomozaki can change through the course of the first season. To make her more likable to her surrounding, she may want to get one or two clues from Tomozaki.
Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki 2nd Stage Story
The Expert TackFam player, Tomozaki Fumiya, doesn’t exactly fit in society. He doesn’t care about the real world as far as calling it a trash game. In fact, his gamer soul doesn’t understand the basic rule of the world and deem it impossible to him to play it.
All changes when he finally makes an offline meet with his nemesis in TackFam. It turns out that the second-ranking player that is always in his shadow is Aoi Hinami, the most popular girl in the school. She is disappointed that the player she respected is a failure in the real world.
Tomozaki is angry with her because their basic stat is different to begin with. That’s when Hinami Aoi argues that life is the best game that you can play. From that moment, like all noobs, Tomozaki tackles a new game called “life” with the guidance of Hinami.
