Good news comes from Dekoboko Majo no Oyako Jijo anime series. Just three months after they confirmed the release year of the series, they already released a bunch of information in their PV.

Piroya’s Dekoboko Majo no Oyako Jijo is a slice-of-life anime that tells about the daughter and mother’s daily lives. Because of their different upbringing, they have very different body proportions which resulted in funny situations.
So, what do you expect from the anime? Let’s talk about that.
Dekoboko Majo no Oyako Jijo PV
The PV was released on May 14, 2023. This is the first that has been released since the first announcement. But, it already lays down the information about what this anime is about.
You can expect light anime with hard comedy wrapped in a slice-of-life genre. Looking at the fall 2023 anime lineup, it is the best as a breather after watching much anime full of action and drama.
The most important announcement from the PV is the broadcast schedule for the anime. Dekoboko Majo no Oyako Jijo will premiere in October 2023.
Dekoboko Majo no Oyako Jijo Cast and Staff
While the main cast has been confirmed back in February, the additional cast was announced on May 14, 2023. They are:
- Koga Aoi as Alyssa
- Mizuki Nana as Viola
- Hanazawa Kana as Narrator
- Park Romi as Lyra (New)
- Hashi Takaya as Phoenix (New)
The lineup comes as a surprise for the manga reader. Studio uses a different cast than the promotional video for the manga which was uploaded on YouTube on February 12, 2021.
In that PV for the manga, Alyssa was voiced by Yurie Kozakai and Viola was voiced by Chiaki Omigawa. But, it isn’t that rare for a studio to hire a different cast from the anime’s source PV.
Takata Masahiro (Tenkuu Shinpan) will direct the anime at A-Real. He is also responsible for the sound as sound director. GyroKnuckle will write the script while Miwa Yoshida will design the character.
Kawaguchi Masaaki (Fairy Tail: Final Series) will be the art director and Utsunomiya Masaki (Science Fell in Love) is in charge of editing. The music will be handled by myu (Rozen Maiden, Sankarea).
Dekoboko Majo no Oyako Jijo Story
Alyssa, a witch who lives alone for centuries, finds a baby abandoned in the middle of the forest. Despite having no experience in raising a baby, she tries so hard to take care of her. She named the baby Viola.
Viola, who was raised lovingly by Alyssa, ends up adoring his mother so much. They spend their days happily.
But, as expected of humans, Viola grows with an exceptional body. Townfolk often mistook Viola for Alyssa’s Mother.
A slice of life tells about a mother and a daughter who has inversed appearance! Their daily lives will bring nothing but comedy!
