Do It Yourself!! the official website said on Tuesday that a live-action show will be based on the original television anime created by PINE JAM. The live-action program will take place in Niigata Prefecture’s Sanj City and will follow the same setting as the animation.
Accordingly, the official news report states that, like the anime, the live-action version will be filmed on-site in Sanj City, located in the Japanese prefecture of Niigata. Further details about this new undertaking will be provided at the anime festival on May 28.

Do It Yourself!! Anime
The anime had its Japanese premiere in October 2022 and ran through its final episode in December 2022. The anime was shown live on Crunchyroll as it was in Japan. At the Crunchyroll Expo gathering in August 2022, Crunchyroll previewed the first episode.
The anime portrays the daily hardships faced by six high school ladies as they attempt DIY projects in Sanjo, a city in western Japan.
Kazuhiro Yoneda (known for directing Gleipnir, Hozuki’s Coolheadedness seasons 2 and 3, Yona of the Dawn, Kageki Shoujo!!) directed the anime at PINE JAM.
Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (famous for writing scripts for Black Clover and Dropkick on My Demon!) oversaw and wrote the series scripts, while Yuusuke Matsuo (known for creating character designs for Encouragement of Climb and The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls) designed the characters. IMAGO and Avex Pictures are credited for the original work.
Yuka Okamoto (who directed artwork for Gleipnir and Princess Resurrection) directed the artwork for the project, while Ryhei Sataka (known for writing music for Gleipnir, Pucchimiku D4DJ Petit Mix, and Unleash the Spyce) wrote the music for Hifumi, Inc.
Also the “official partner” is the manufacturer of building supplies Takagi, and the “official supporter” is Takagi’s hometown of Sanj in the Niigata Prefecture.
Do It Yourself!! Anime Plot
Although Do It Yourself!! essentially means what it says. The animation depicts the daily hardships faced by six high school girls as they attempt DIY projects in Sanj, a city in western Japan.
The plot describes that “Building furniture and friendships share many similarities, as both require intention, effort, and hard work to craft. This is a story of girls in a DIY club building both as they carve out their futures.
