Mashle Manga To Get Anime Adaptation

Super excited about this one. It’s only a matter of time before Mashle manga breaks out into the mainstream once it’s out.

To paint a better visual, for those who have not read the manga, imagine if Saitama, Mob, and Asta had their genes combined to form a single character. That’s Mash! A man who brings muscles to a magic fight!

A Harry Potter vibe permeates the entire series where magic is at the forefront. This includes magic classes, divisions, lightning scars, and broom riding, etc. Truly a magical fantasy!

Mashle’s Release Date

Aniplex’s Youtube channel confirmed that Mashle will officially get a TV series in 2023.

To further rile up fans all around, a trailer came out with a teaser visual.

Joining in on the fun, Weekly Shonen Jump created a remarkable character trailer that introduced most of the faces who will be breaking our ribs in Mashle manga.

Mashle Manga Plot

Picture the Harry Potter world in your mind. Hold on, before you finish visualizing it, add the fact that those born without magic are killed—Yea, sick twist.

Mash is born this way, without magic, and strives to live a peaceful life deep in the forest. He trains his body to higher levels that might not be human to compensate for his lack of magic.

Since his home is in a backward forest, Mash lives oblivious to the ways the world he is in works. The unthinkable was within the realms of possibility the day his secret came out, but instead, he enrolled in a magic school. There is no way to escape this precarious situation other than to compete with other students who can use magic and achieve the status of Divine Visionary.

The role of the Divine Visionary symbolizes that the student is one of God’s chosen. This a position so revered that the society he’s in will have no choice but to acknowledge his existence. Will his jacked-up body protect him and get him to his goal?

One thing is for sure though, Mashle manga will have you snorting out loud deep in the night.

About Mashle

Based on Mashle manga, the Japanese Manga series is in the comedy genre. It will mostly be gags, absurd situations, and reactions. The main character Mash is a guy who possesses no magic and still manages to rival all other magic users with brute strength.

Even though the jokes revolve around the setting of a non-magician in the company of magic users, a proper story is still able to unfold through the deadpan humor used by the author. Put this in the category of One Punch Man where the side characters are pleasant to spend time with. The story manages to keep you hooked throughout.

Some fans have even gone so far as to say that Mashle will be the next One Punch Man. Like in terms of popularity and… you know what I mean.

Mashle Manga

Hajime Komoto wrote and drew the manga, which is under the same name. Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine published it since January 2020. Viz Media’s shonen service also took up the manga and started publishing it digitally in English and releasing it in print.

The manga also boasts a total of 13 volumes and a few chapters yet to be released in a tankōbon (standalone) volume. It entered its final arc with the 12th volume that shipped on July 4.

To conclude I would like to say that this anime is perfect for people looking for comedy similar to the likes of Saiki Kusuo, or those looking for something light-hearted to watch. So, keep an eye out for this gem!
