Reincarnated as a Sword is yet another popular isekai anime series with a unique twist, the second season for the series was announced on December 21st, 2022, the day the first season was concluded.
The announcement for the sequel was made on the official Twitter account for the series and was later posted on the website as well along with a short video commemorating the 2nd season announcement.
The official announcement came with a key visual for the upcoming sequel, and a short animated video featuring a fantastic fight from the sequel.

The key visual for the second season came out right after the first season finished airing and it featured the two main characters, Fran with her sword Shishou.
The list of cast members for the sequel is yet to be updated as the website has made no changes, perhaps there will not be an update the original cast members will return for the sequel. This can also be said for staff members but there may be a studio change.
The original list of cast members includes Ai Kakuma as Fran, Shinichiro Miki as Shishou, Shinpachi Tsuji as Gallus, Rumi Ookubo as Nell, Ami Koshimizu as Amanda, Wataru Hatano as Klimt, Takuya Nakashima Victor, and Tetsu Inada as Donadrond.
The list of cast members from the previous season feature Shinji Ishihira as the director, Shouji Hata as the sound director, Hiroshi Arisawa for character designs, Yasuharu Takanashi in charge of music, and Takahiro Nagano as the series composer.
The Plot of Reincarnated as a Sword
The idea of teleported to another world with always make for a great story; however, the directions these shows are taking are straight-up questionable.
Our protagonist, the sword one day wakes up and finds himself transported to another and in the shape of a sword, his powers of telekinesis allow him to explore the world and defeat monsters with some effort.
One day during his ventures in the jungle, he comes across a fleeing girl who picks up the sword and easily takes care of the monsters chasing after her.
Both of them introduce themselves to each other, as Fran is dead set on taking revenge against the people who massacred her clan, Shishou decides to help her take revenge.
The Characters of Reincarnated as a Sword
Shishou, also known as Master is teleported to a strange fantasy world after getting into an accident, his unique ability is he can absorb magic stones from the enemies he defeats. His telekinetic powers let him move around freely.
Fran is a young girl from the black cat clan who is one day slaughtered by the hands of some slave traders, she barely manages to escape and after feeling from the jungle, she comes to a talking sword and decides to befriend it.
About the series
Reincarnated as a sword is a Japanese light novel series written by Yuu and illustrated by Llo, the series was originally posted on the user-generated website, Shosetsuka ni Naro on October 2015.
It was later acquired by Micro Magazine which published the series as a light novel and released its first volume in 2016. The series did receive a manga series by Tomowo Maruyama which was published by Gentosha and a spin-off manga series by Hinako Inoue which was published by Micro Magazine.
The licenses of all these sources were later acquired by Seven Seas Entertainment.
