Bungo Stray Dogs anime is an amazing supernatural action series with millions of fans around the world. The third season of the series finished airing in June 2019 and Bungo Stray Dogs season 4 was recently announced, let’s go over all we know about the sequel.
The official Twitter account of BSD (@bungosd_anime) announced the release of another sequel. The sequel is all set for January 2023. However, the official release date and release time hasn’t been announced, the expect the sequel to be released earlier in January.
The official announcement also came with a special visual, showing the Armed Detective Agency going against the Hunting Dogs.

Bungo Stray Dogs anime season 4 announcement also introduced quite a few new characters and their cast members including Makoto Koichi as Teruko Okura, Akio Otsuka as Ochi Fukuchi, Takeshi Kusao as Mshitaro Oguri, and Takehito Koyasu as Nikolai Gogol.
Two additional characters were introduced on a later date, Saigiku Jouno and Tetcho Suehiro who Yuki Kaiji and Yohei Azakami will voice.
Igarashi Takuya will be directing the series, Kazuhiro Wakabayashi will be the sound director, Youji Enokido will be responsible for the series’ composition and Taku Iawasaki will oversee the music. It’s time to wait for our favourite character to return. We all can expect the Voice Cast to do their magic this time as well. The Plot of Bungo Stray Dogs Anime Season 4
Previous season was a smash and fans expect the same from the upcoming season. The show is about a group of supernatural investigators who use their abilities to neutralize any situation regarding other supernaturals.
Atsushi Nakajima has a unique ability he’s unaware of. He comes across Osamu Dazai, a suicidal maniac near a river bank after getting out from his orphanage.
Having no place to go or anything to eat, he shares his story with Osamu Dazai. This mystery greatly intrigues him and he decides to help him. Later invites him to be a part of the Armed Detective Agency.

Season 3 of BSD ended on a good note. The Port Mafia and the Detective Agency combining forces to take down the terrorist group but this effort was temporary.
Bungou stray dogs season 4 will cover the Decay of the Angel saga which will continue from chapter 54 of the manga titled “the perfect murder, the perfect killer, part 1” where the Armed Detective Agency will go against the infamous terrorist group.
How Much Source Material Is Left for BSD 4?
As of right now, the bungou stray dogs series has 22 volumes and 99 chapters available. Not including the additional six chapters that will come in another volume.
The first season covered 16 chapters, the second season covered 21 chapters, and the third season again covered 16 chapters, so we can assume the fourth season will cover somewhere between 16 to 20 chapters.
There are more than enough chapters to create an entire season; however, the Decay of the Angel saga is quite extensive and a 12-episode season won’t be enough to cover it.
