Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc Will Stream On Crunchyroll

We previously know that the Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc would premiere in Japan on April 9, 2023. Now it has been confirmed that the Crunchyroll launch will occur on the same day.

On that day, it will also be made available globally via the streaming service. But, it didn’t provide a definite air date for the pilot. Also, it was stated that Crunchyroll will produce the Demon Slayer season 3 dubs for the Swordsmith Village Arc.

At first, just the original Japanese voice acting will be accompanied by subtitles. The corporation did reveal that voice acting for the program will eventually be available in English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish.

The television anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Katanakaji no Sato-Hen) will be shown on Crunchyroll, which announced this on Friday.

Crunchyroll announced that it will only broadcast the anime in North America, South America, and Europe starting on April 9 and “where the service is available.” Moreover, English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, and Hindi dubs will be produced by Crunchyroll for the animation.

The anime will make its Fuji TV debut with a one-hour special on April 9 at 11:55 p.m. JST. There will be two specials for the previous Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc anime on April 1 and April 8 before the start of the new arc.

About Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc

On February 3, 418 theatres in Japan began showing the anime in a theatrical setting. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc episodes 10 and 11 as well as the debut episode of the Swordsmith Village Arc are included in the screenings.

Almost 95 nations and territories will host screenings of the films. The primary cast, the animation studio ufotable, character designer and chief animation director Akira Matsushima, and the director Haruo Sotozaki are all back for the new arc.

For the Swordsmith Village Arc, the same staff from the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba arc is back, including director Haruo Sotozaki, chief animation director and character designer Akira Matsushima, art director Koji Eto, music producers Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina, animator ufotable.

“Kizuna no Kiseki,” the new opening theme, will be performed by millet and MAN WITH A MISSION. The voice cast includes:

  • Kousuke Toriumi as Gyokko

The manga series by Koyoharu Gotoge, distributed by SHUEISHA’s JUMP COMICS, with 23 volumes and more than 150 million copies in print, served as the inspiration for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Ufotable produced the animation.
