Let’s start with the overwhelming factors that grab fans’ attention. The best thing about the series is its unique yet nonsensical storytelling and abstract presentation. It also had a great discussion of adult themes such as puberty, youth, rebellion, love, and jealousy.

If you are a teenager and went through any of these emotions, you will find yourself emotionally connected with the story and its brilliant characters. The stunning visuals and slick animation styles of the series are also enough to bind you to their beautiful world-building.

Moreover, the theme songs and energetic rock music performed by Pillow, an awesome rock music band, are quite appreciated by fans. Now moving forward to the underwhelming factors of FLCL (Furi Kuri). Due to targeting multiple genres, it lacks a coherent plot and proper character development, which makes the series feel sometimes disjointed.

Some viewers also describe the series as too confusing due to its fast-paced and complicated story. The metaphors and symbolism discussed in the series are also too heavy for some audiences to understand the actual plot.

Furthermore, it includes obscure pop culture references that might be difficult to understand for non-Japanese viewers. As a result, the FLCL (Furi Kuri) anime is not for everyone until and unless you enjoy the complete storyline.

If you are a pro audience and looking for a unique series to pick, then this series is the ultimate pick for you. That’s it for today’s review. We hope you find it informative and useful. Stay tuned with us for the latest anime news and informative anime reviews.
