The popular manga Kingdom is being made into live-action movies in Japan. The fourth movie, Kingdom: Taishogun no Kikan (Return of the General), also recently revealed a new trailer and visuals. Here’s everything we know.
The new trailer shows the main characters Shin and Ō Ki (Wang Qi) fighting the powerful Chō generals Ri Boku and Hō Ken. This also gives a sneak peek at the action in the fourth movie, which will cover important storylines from the manga about a big battle.
Additionally, the new visuals show the characters dressed for battle in armor. This also lets fans see how the key Kingdom manga stories will look as live-action movies.

Kingdom Manga’s Story
Kingdom takes place in ancient China during the Warring States period when different states fought each other. It follows an orphan slave named Xin who dreams of becoming a Great General. After his friend Piao leaves to work in the royal palace, a coup happens and Piao returns to Xin badly hurt, on an important mission. This leads Xin to meet the young King Ying Zheng, who looks just like Piao.
As the Kingdom Manga story goes on, Xin takes his first steps toward glory as he also tries to become a Great General amid all the fighting between states. The movies cover Xin’s journey as the states battle each other.
