Bad news came from Love Live! mobile game. KLAB, the developer of Love Live! School Idol Festival, has announced the termination of the rhythm game featuring Love Live! characters on January 31, 2022. The end of service is scheduled on March 31, just 2 weeks before its 10 years anniversary.

Via Appmagic, the game has gained over 400 million USD in revenue for the past 9 years. Though the peak has declined since 2019 when Love Live! All Star game was released. That may be the reason the game ends the service.
On a good note, the sequel of the game, Love Live! School Idol Festival 2 Miracle Live!, will be launched in the spring of this year.
The sequel announcement was released back on September 25, 2022. The system of the sequel was reported to be the same as the original with enhanced features such as the use of l2d rather than static 2d pictures.
Game Data Transfer
Rest assured Love Liver!, because your years of gameplay will be rewarded in the next sequel. KLAB is enabling data transfer from the original version to the sequel. Though there is a note about what will be transferred.
- Only the album can be transferred.
- The progression on the first game isn’t being transferred so you will start from scratch.
- There will be early rewards for everyone who is doing data transfer based on the account progression of the first game.
