Love Live School Idol Festival Game Shuts Down After 10 Years

Bad news came from Love Live! mobile game. KLAB, the developer of the Love Live School Idol Festival game, has announced the termination of the rhythm game featuring Love Live! characters on January 31, 2022. They plan to shut down the service on March 31, just 2 weeks before its 10-year anniversary.

Via Appmagic, this popular anime mobile game has gained over 400 million USD in revenue over the past 9 years as gacha game. However, the peak has declined since 2019 when the spin-off game Love Live! All-Star game launched. That may be the reason the game ends the service.

On a good note, KLAB already announced the official release of this mobile rhythm game. The sequel of the game, Love Live! School Idol Festival 2 Miracle Live!, will launch in the spring of this year.

Unfortunately, the only one going online is the Japanese version of the game. Meanwhile, the global release is still TBA. Moreover, they won’t add English localization for the Japanese release. So, if the global player base wants to play, they need to play it in the Japanese language.

The sequel announcement was released back on September 25, 2022. The system of the sequel was reported to be the same as the original with enhanced features such as the use of l2d rather than static 2d pictures.

Love Live School Idol Festival Game Data Transfer

Rest assured Love Live! player, because the developer will award your years of gameplay from the previous game. KLAB is enabling data transfer from the original game to the sequel. However, there is a note about what will be transferred.
