On Saturday, July 22, 2023, One Piece Day 2023 took place, and it was during this time when Monsters, a one-shot manga chapter, was revealed. The one-shot manga, written by Eiichiro Oda, will have an anime adaptation.

One Hundred Three Feelings Flying Dragon Samurai Goku is the English translation of the anime’s Japanese name, Monsters: Ippyaku Sanjo Hiryu Jigoku. Sunghoo Park will direct it, and his new company E&H Production will handle the animation. The first season of the 2020 shonen masterpiece Jujutsu Kaisen and its prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 were directed by Park, who is best known.

Only a teaser preview and a key image have been released thus far, and it has also been made known that the anime would be one normal anime episode long. There isn’t any more information on the release date at this time. Future updates on the impending anime will be posted on the official websites of Shueisha and One Piece.

The teaser transports viewers to 1994 and introduces Oda’s first project before the release of his masterpiece One Piece. Then, frame after frame, the face of a black dragon is revealed. Fans will see Ryuma battle against this, which is probably the core struggle of the narrative.

Monsters Anime Plot

Ryuma, a samurai with extraordinary strength and swordsmanship abilities, is the protagonist of the “Monsters” narrative. He is a traveling swordsman who wins the town’s admiration by slaying a dragon that was terrifying the populace.

The catch, though, is that Ryuma was the one who initially brought the dragon to the village as part of a plot to win the respect and appreciation of the locals. Despite this, Ryuma is not a wholly bad guy, as he ultimately saves the village from serious danger.

Eiichiro Oda Monster Manga

Oda’s Wanted!, a compilation of manga one-shots, included the one-shot. In 1998, Wanted! was published in Japan by Shueisha. The one-shot was initially published by Shueisha in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1994. Ryuma, a character from the comic, later made an appearance in Oda’s One Piece manga.

Sunghoo Park, who directed Jujutsu Kaisen and Jujutsu Kaisen 0, is also in charge of the anime’s composition. The animation is being done by Park’s brand-new firm, E&H Production. One episode of the anime will make up the whole thing.
