Kimi ni Todoke Anime Reveals Season 3 Main Cast & Staff

For years, the doses of the shoujo genre have kept decreasing. We have seen less and less good shoujo anime through the years. But, there is good news. Do you remember one of the best shoujo anime in 2010? Yes, Kimi ni Todoke anime just announced its third season for the series.

As one of the epicenters of the shoujo genre in the 2010s, there is no doubt that this franchise holds a great deal. But, why now after 13 years of the second season? Maybe Netflix oversees the great rebirth of the Shoujo genre in general? Well, who knows?

So, what can we expect in the upcoming season of Kimi ni Todoke? Will it bring the same visual as a decade ago? Or it will be a complete makeover? Furthermore, who will cast the beloved characters from the series? Well, we’ve gathered all of the information below. Just read on!

Kimi ni Todoke Anime Series Highlights

The third season of Kimi ni Todoke anime was announced by Netflix Japan on September 3, 2023.  It is confirmed that Karuho Shiina’s shoujo manga will stream exclusively on Netflix worldwide in 2024.

Netflix released a 13-minute series highlights video telling the major moments from the first two seasons on December 30, 2023. Instead of just mish-mashing the old video, they make newly produced visuals to make the fans reexperience the moments.

It is unreal how they bring back this shoujo genre after 13 years. Most fans have already given up on the next adaptation for decades. Moreover, the last episode of the anime already intertwined the couple together. So, there is no point in having the third season even though the manga is still going on Bessatsu Margaret until November 2017.

Well, the question is, can the third season of Kimi ni Todoke anime bring back the lost hype after more than a decade? As of now, the exact release date of the series is still TBA. But, we can expect the anime will drop sooner than later.

Longing for normal high school life surrounded by friends, she looks up to the most popular boy in the class, Shota Kazehaya. His cheerfulness and friendly nature make him the center of the class, and that makes her aspire to be like him.

When Kazehaya plans for a courageous contest, he invites her to join. Sawako sees this as a golden opportunity. Her first mission is to get close to Ayane Yano and Chizuru Yoshida. Through some encounters, Sawako believes that meeting Kazehaya is a godsend. Because of him, her life becomes better than ever.
