Rascal Does Not Dream Light Novel Series Comes to an End in October

This might come as somber news for fans of Rascal Does Not Dream. Ten years after its original release, Dengeki Bunko has announced that the famous light novel Rascal Does Not Dream is coming to an end. The story will end in the 15th volume.

Its author, Hajime Kamoshida, also confirmed that he is already done with the novel’s ending. His statement was, “I would like to spend a good 10th anniversary with everyone.”

He also confirmed that volume 14 will lay the path to the conclusion, which will be out on August 9. Later, on October 1, volume 15 will be released, marking the end of the series.

We also got our hands on a combined visual of the 14th and 15th volumes. We also got hints that a drama CD would be out with special editions of every volume. The light novel was first released in April 2014 in Japan. Amazingly, since then, the series has a record of selling more than 3 million copies for its 13 volumes.

The Novel series received an anime adaptation, spawning multiple versions. Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai TV anime began in 2018, followed by Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl TV anime, Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out, and Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid anime films. The news is also in the air that the “University Arc” will receive the series’ anime adaptation.

Plot

The story focuses on a strange Puberty Syndrome. It turns out that the internet is full of rumoured abnormal experiences during adolescence. Sakuta Azusagawa is a high school student, and the story progresses as he encounters various girls who are facing this syndrome. The story kicks off as he meets an actress in a bunny avatar. However, only Sakuta is able to see her in the library. How and why are the mysteries that will make the story entangling.
